NÆSTVED: Team FOG Næstveds nyerhvervelse Lee Roberts landede i denne uge. Ifølge en pressemeddelse gik første træning fint og det er indtrykket, at Lee Roberts er den spiller som Næstved manglede i så høj grad i sidste sæson ved siden af Peter Johansen. Her fortæller Roberts lidt om, hvem han er, hvad han kan, og hvilke mål han spiller for at opnå.

“I have chosen to come and play for Team FOG because I believe here I have the opportunity to improve as a player in the top league in Denmark, and I think that we have a strong chance of being a good team.
I grew up in a family with both parents in the army, so I moved around the U.S a lot. I was born in Seattle Washington and I have lived in Alaska, Ohio, and South Carolina. I played basketball for the University of Findlay and my first year of pro basketball was in Braunschweig, Germany. I know Brandon Thomas (old Team FOG Næstved, League MVP and All Star MVP) since he played in another club close to mine in Germany.
I have one younger brother, he is currently at Georgia Tech and is on scholarship for cross country and track, he made it to nationals this past season and placed 13th in the 800 meter dash.”
Mål, ambitioner og oplevelser
My basketball aspiration is to attain the highest level of play I can and to make a good career from doing what I love.
The biggest and best basketball experience of my life was my senior year at the University of Findlay when we finished our season with a record of 36-0 and won the national championship on a buzzer beater shot!
I cant choose only one role model in my life, I would have to say it would be both of my parents. from the time I was born they have set an example for me of what I need to do in life to survive and be successful, I would be nothing without them and I truly love and respect my Mother and Father.
Forbilleder i sporten
My all-time favorite basketball player is of course Michael Jordan because he is legendary and changed the game of basketball, and forever will have an impact on the game. But as of now, I would have to go with Kobe Bryant. I love the way he plays and his demeanor on the court, everything about his game is just so smooth!
Roberts styrker og svagheder
Personally I feel that I am strong in the post and my mid range game is decent too. I love to sprint the floor to get a lot of fast break dunks and put backs. Rebounding is another thing that I am good at. I still have a lot of work to do and I can always improve on everything.
